Nathan's First Swim Meet

Because of Nathan's love for swimming, we asked him if he wanted to try a swim team. Of course, his answer was "yes". We called around and found a recreational swim team at the DAC. The team starts each year the end of May, after school. We took him to his first practice last week just to watch, and he ended up practicing with them and loved it. Mr. Fred, the coach, told us to let him try it for a week, and if he likes it, he can start. He really enjoyed the practices and learned many new strokes. He is the youngest boy on the team. The other boys are so sweet to Nathan and very supportive. Below are pictures of the last regular meet of the season. Wish we would have started sooner. He did really well, and most of all had a WONDERFUL time!! I hope to get a video posted of his first race where he placed second in his heat. We were jumping and cheering him on like crazy people. But, it was fun. We are so proud of our little swimmer!
