A New Adventure

Hey all!!!  I have not posted on this blog since 2013.  Wow! What a roller coaster our life has been!!!  I am in my 4th year of teaching at my cottage school!  I have loved every minute of it.  Nathan is 15.....yes 15,  and such a blessing.  He is a mess but has the biggest heart!  Mari Morgan is 12 and all that comes with it. :)   I am blessed to have such a wonderful little girl who is becoming one of my best friends! :) Brian is still pastoring Riverbend Church and we love them! They are good people who serve the Lord and are so good to us!  Brian and I have been married for almost 19 years and I love him more every day.  He is truly my soul mate!  I am so blessed!!

*After prayer and reflection, I have decided to be a consultant for Rodan and Fields Skincare.  Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields, the dermatologist behind Proactive Solutions, created this skincare system.  They have amazing products that give REAL results!  I can't wait to be able to try some of these regimens that will target a few areas of concern on my skin! There are a few reasons why I believe God is allowing me to become a consultant.  I am going to share these with you.  Stay with me.....

1.  Financial Freedom:  Brian and I realize that something needs to be done in order for us to "breathe a little easier" when it comes to our finances.  I decided to do something about it...for our future...for our kids' future...!!

I have talked with many other preachers' wives that are consultants with Rodan and Fields.  They say that it has helped them make ends meet and they enjoy encouragement and hope through others on their team.  It is definately a way to make money, have access to wonderful products at a great price, and grow relationships with wonderful, Godly women that want to see you succeed! :)  I have only been selling for 1 week and have received so much encouragement from my team members.

I would LOVE for someone (one of you) to join this mission with me by becoming a consultant.   Mission you say???  I am on a mission to financially support my family and use skincare to glorify God!!

**What do you have to lose?????**

2.  Scars:  As most of you know, I was in a car wreck in 1999 that left me in the hospital for 7 weeks, 3 of those fighting for my life.  Good news...God saved my life.  This wreck led to several surgeries which led to several scars.  I have always been very self-conscious when wearing anything that shows them.  My arm, chest, and neck scars are the most "noticeable" ones.  There is a regimen offerred by Rodan and Fields that has proven to fade scars! That alone increased my desire to try them.  I will definately post some "before and after " pics in a couple of months.  :) Products are meant to be used for 60 days to achieve maximum results.

I know what it's like to feel insecure about scars or anything on your body that makes you feel unattractive....to feel insecure in your clothing/bathing suits.  I was bitter about my scars for many years.  Now, I am a litle more comfortable because you know....who really cares anyway?? Right?  That's correct for most people, but the real truth is that I care.  Fading these scars would help boost my confidence and give even more glory to my Maker!  If I can make even one person feel better about "wearing" their scars, by selling them the products that fade them, it would be worth it. :)  With the fading of the scars, comes fading of more bitterness, which gives way to more confidence, which in turn gives me a greater ablity to give HIM more glory and praise.

I cannot express how excited I am to go on this journey!!!!

I am praying for God to grow this business.  I believe!!  :)

I Know….I Know

I know….it has been a loooooooooong time since I have posted.  Honestly, I have been lazy, not to mention a little busy.  Here are a few highlights of our last couple of months.  Hold on!  This is going to be a roller coaster….and so thrown together! :)

Mari Morgan was in the production of Willy Wonka.  Needless to say, this show rocked our world.  It required MUCH  time and devotion.  There were lots of late nights and early mornings…but in the end, it was all worth it.  Mari Morgan loves the stage.  She was a candy kid and a squirrel.  It was a wonderful experience for her and she is ready to try out for Peter Pan in January.

Swimming

Nathan is swimming again!  He loves it and is getting ready for his first swim meet in October!   When you have a 12 year old pictures are embarrassing!  :) Took them while he was in the water!  :)
