We were all able to share the weekend with Brian's grandmother who celebrated 90 years. We had quite a party. About 50 family members from California, Georgia, and Texas were in Houston to celebrate. Gram is one of the sweetest ladies I know and has always made me feel so welcomed into the family. Happy Birthday, Gram! We love you. Doesn't she look young??
My cousin and his fiancé brought their little girl home from the hospital a few weeks ago. Laney Scott was born weighing about 2 pounds. She struggled for many weeks to stay alive and survived. We were so happy to get to meet her. Precious!
I LOVE my time alone with God in the mornings! God has been teaching me ways to serve Him more, and grow in Him. This verse He laid on my heart this week; "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4
I asked myself, what are the desires of my heart? My true desires are to be a Godly wife, mom, and tutor.(in that order) I need to ask and yearn for these qualities every day and obey His commands in each. I am committing to pray diligently each day for my husband, our kids and each student every day. God has truly blessed me. It's time for me to honor Him with these gifts!
These pictures are really not in order, but oh well, you'll get the idea! I am so excited to have such a wonderful place to teach my children and some others during the week. Thankful to God for His blessings!
Wow! I'm sure our neighbors were glad to see all this go!
Plastic chairs I painted black
Brian's grandfather's desk I painted lime green....not sure if he would approve...:) you can see it in pics above!
In order to accommodate for students in my garage, there had to be something built to move all the "stuff" out of my garage. Pop sent some workers here to build us a shed. It turned out great and we were able to clear the garage. Of course, Mari Morgan wanted her own place too, so guess what? Pop built her something too. :) Are you surprised?
MM's "Princess Pad" as Brian called it.
The shed. It is awesome!
So thankful for Pop and what he does for our family! :)
MM attended a theatre camp called Aristocats at DFT. She and her friend, Kara, went for five days and learned theatre basics and songs and dances. They performed "Aristocats" for us on Friday night. Their roles were two sisters who were geese. Their names are Amelia and Abigail Gabble. MM was Amelia. They had a great time, and she was such the "ham" on stage. She loves it!
