Christmas at the Harringtons

On the Saturday after Christmas we celebrated with my family. It was great to see my brothers and their families since we don't get to see each other very often due to distance. Nathan got to play with Hogan and Banks, and of course Mari Morgan was attached to Edie. We had a wonderful time and my mom made us feel so special with every table decorated and using her nice Christmas dishes. Thank you, Mom. You are the best!! It's always so good to be at home, especially at Christmas.

Nathan got a picture of Tim Tebow, his favorite player

Twelve Wonderful Years!

December 20, 1997 was one of the best days of my life. I officially became Paige Tillman. I dedicate this post to my husband of 12 years. I love Brian more each and every year. We have been through so much together, with each circumstance drawing us closer to the Lord and to each other. I love him with all my heart and am so thankful God created us for each other.

Happy Anniversary, Sweetheart!

Christmas Parties!

Brian had the job of taking both Nathan and Mari Morgan to their Christmas parties today since I have strep. I was so upset that I was not able to go, but I know they enjoyed Daddy taking them. Nathan's class really did nothing but eat. MM's class ate and made a gingerbread house. First are some highlights of her party and some of her favorite friends! Then, you will see some of Nathan,....well, eating! Brian took the pictures too. I was proud of him. Well, he actually takes better pictures than me anyway.

Nathan said all they did at his party was eat. Looks like he is right! So different from Kindergarten. Third grade is so less involved!

Brian said this little boy wanted his picture made with Nathan. He said, "we are brothers." Brian said he told him no, I don't think so and he said "Oh yes we are"! Funny! I believe his name is Jaylan.

In Wonder!

This morning, while I am here alone, I have been thinking about Christmas and its true meaning. I am sort of stressed that I have not finished my shopping or wrapping and we leave on Wednesday to go out of town. You see, I was off work this whole week, and had my days planned out to get everything done while my kids were still in school. Sunday afternoon, Mari Morgan started running a fever, so guess what? She has been home with me all week. Then, Tuesday I started feeling bad and went to the doc yesterday and found out I have strep. This is the worst I have felt in quite some time. So, as I sit here, looking at my Christmas tree, I am reflecting on His birth and His special gift to us. Wow! I think I am in love with Jesus more this Christmas than I have ever been before. God doesn't make mistakes, and there is a lesson we need to learn in every situation. Maybe this week has taught me to savor the "true meaning" rather than getting my "to do list" done. Slow down, and actually praise Him for the season! "Glory to God in the highest!" (From Luke 2:14) I pray this Christmas I will tell His story, talk of His miraculous birth even more, and spread His joy with others. Nathan, Mari Morgan, and I watched Charlie Brown Christmas last night. How sweet it was to hear Liones(msp) tell Charlie Brown what Christmas was all about by quoting scripture. Then, to see Charlie Brown's whole attitude change about Christmas. He was in Wonder- amazed! That's how I want to be this Christmas, just in wonder and amazed at His gift!

Time with Family

We went South to spend some time withy family this weekend. My moms side of the family, the Hendersons, have a joint Thanksgiving/Christmas get together the 2nd Saturday in December every year. It is so much fun, and this is he only time we get to see some of our family members all year. My mom has 3 sisters and two brothers. All of them have children and grandchildren, so you can imagine the crowd. Before we went to the Henderson function, my kids helped Brian's parents decorate their tree. We had a great time. It was great to see all of you!

Mari Morgan loves her elf!
