Mari Morgan surprised us when she said she wanted to try out Upward basketball this year. We told them that we only wanted them to do one "extra curricular" activity at a time. Well, we decided she could try this out to see if she likes it. She is also in dance/gymnastics. Her first practice went pretty well, but she can not make it to the goal. All the other players were getting very close or making their shots. I didn't think she would take that well at all, but she did not seem to bothered it. I would love for her to play, because I was NEVER good at basketball. In fact, when I played, it was an embarrassing sight. With practice, maybe she will be able to catch on. Who knows? We'll see.

MM and Carline. It is a co-ed team. This is one of the three girls on the team
Every year students have to pick a book, and do a project with their chosen book. Nathan chose a Diary of a Wimpy Kid book, which I'm not too crazy about, but the kids LOVE them. He did most of his project by himself, I just assisted with a few things. He was so proud. Good job, Nathan!
We had a fantastic Thanksgiving! On Thursday we had lunch at Brian's parents. It was delicious, and even included "turkey" mashed potatoes! We really enjoyed the fellowship. On Friday we spent the day with my parents. My dad and the kids and I went for a walk behind their house and around their lake. The kids loved feeding the catfish and "hiking" as they called it. We roasted marshmallows in my mom's new pit. Nathan seemed to enjoy catching his on fire and blowing out the flame more than anything else. I enjoyed eating them, because I like them burnt. Then, the highlight of the whole weekend for me, was watching the Bulldogs show out on the football field. We beat Ole Miss 41-28! Awesome!!!!!! Below are some pictures of our blessed trip to see our precious family. We love you all!!
These first pictures were taken in Brian's moms yard. It is amazing!
It was an exciting night! We put our Christmas tree up tonight- I know it is not even Thanksgiving! This is the first year I have ever put it up before Thanksgiving Day, but a friend of mine said she liked for it to be up and done when she gets back from visiting family for Thanksgiving. As I thought about it, that idea started sounding better and better. So, we chose to do it tonight. Well, I will say Mari Morgan and I chose tonight. Brian would be fine with never putting one up, and surprisingly Nathan watched football most of the time with him. Mari Morgan was really into it this year. So much, that she asked us if she could give the Christmas tree a kiss and a hug before she went to bed. It was so much fun decorating the tree with her. Making memories!!!! Happy Thanksgiving!!!
I was so upset!! We all loaded up Saturday morning to go to Houston/Mantee. We meaning Brian, Nathan, Jacob, William, Mari Morgan, and myself. We were crammed in the car and so I wanted to take a picture of the kids in the back. When I went to get my camera out of my purse, I noticed it was turned on. I had left it on by accident all night in my purse. It only takes one kind of rechargeable battery. Where was the extra battery? At home! Where were we? Too far to turn back around to get it. When we arrived, my mom said her camera had no film. So,unfortunately we have zero pictures of our weekend, but we sure did have fun!! This is not the first time this has happened! I'm not very good with these kinds of things!! Hey, but atleast I didn't spill coke all over it. :)
Friday night was Riverbend Ladies Night Out. We ate at Olive Garden, and ended up staying there 3 hours having dessert and talking. It was a lot of fun. I think we should do this more often!
