But He said unto me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness..." 2 Corinthians 12:9a

Kidz Kamp

I had the opportunity to go with Nathan and Mari Morgan to Riverbend Kids Camp. I taught Mari Morgan's class, which included preschoolers of only the adults working at camp. We called this group the pre-campers. It was a lot of fun, and the kids were really good. Liz did an awesome job putting it all together. This was Nathan's first time to go to camp. He loved it and has all ready started asking about next year. We all had a great time.

Dinner Guests

We were very excited to have the Ross family over for dinner. Brian and George just got back from being in Israel together, so they had lots of stories. My kids enjoyed playing with Hannah Ruth, Abigail, Issac, and baby Jeremiah. I loved being able to visit with Joy. We don't get to see each other very often and it was great getting to visit with her. Nathan and Issac stayed upstairs most of the time. Didn't get a pic of them. We had a great time. Hope to do it again soon!

VBS Family Night

We went on a High Seas voyage this week at Riverbend VBS. Tonight the boys and girls got to sing some songs that they have learned for their parents and grandparents. We also ate burgers and hotdogs and watched a slideshow of the week. Mrs. Phyllis Freeman baked and decorated a precious cake with a boat in the ocean. I forgot to get a picture, but take my word, it was amazing! We finished the night out with Ms. Liz and my husband getting a pie in the face. The kids LOVED it. Brian and Liz were very good sports. We had a great time this week, and learned even more about the faithfulness of our great God. Thanks to Ms. Liz and all the workers for an awesome week.

Just a blurb.....

We have been having an exciting time at VBS this week! Nathan and Mari Morgan are always rearing and ready to go. Tonight will be our last night of activities. I have been helping a good friend, Teresa Massongill, teach the Bible story each night. I have learned so much. We have allowed our children to act out the stories with us. It really is interesting how it comes to life!!! Looking forward to having a Jesus party tonight as we review the week and celebrate how great our God is!!!!

It is official!

Today was new teacher orientation day at the county office. My morning started off very nice and calm. My children were gone, thanks to my good friends Christine Fields and Amanda Lemonds! Thanks guys!! My husband was at a conference in Jackson, so I woke up to a very quiet house. I got up and made a cup of coffee, had my QT, and then started getting ready. They had told me to try to get there around 7:45. I was ready to walk out the door at 7:40 and my keys were not in my purse. They were also not hanging on the key holder. So, I started looking. I looked EVERYWHERE!! I prayed, Lord lead me to my keys! It was now 7:50, and I was starting to panic. (I never panic,ha!) I called Brian and asked him if they were in his truck and he said no. I checked my purse again, and everywhere I had all ready looked. They were nowhere to be founf!! Then, I really started to panic. It was now 7:55 and I had no way to get to my orientation. I looked in my purse one last time as a desperate attempt. They were right there--clear as day. I'm telling you, you can believe me or not, God put those keys in my purse. I arrived at orientation at 8:03 out of breath. I was number 24 for the day, which means I was the last one to get called to do every step and the last person to leave. Oh, well!! It was quite a stressful time as I had to fill out lots of paperwork and choose insurance plans and benefits WITHOUT my husband. I was lost, but I feel like I made good decisions. Thank you Lord for helping me. I sat during the PowerPoint presentation amazed at how God has worked this job out for me. I am so excited to be able to have my very own classroom and minister to third graders!

Home at Last!!

As many of you know, Brian has been in Israel for two weeks. We were expecting him to land in Memphis today at 3:00. He sent me a text early this morning and said they were in NY, and that they should be in Memphis by 1:00. I leaped out of bed very excited(and yes, I did leap)!!!! I had my last CEU class today and I could not wait until it was over to grab some lunch and pick up my sweetheart!! We got home about 2:00, and the kids were so excited to see him. We are all glad to have him home!!! We love you, Daddy

Our New Pool

The kids have been begging me to get them a blow up pool. Not too sure this is exactly what they meant, but its the best I could do.

Introducing our new swimming pool, furnished with its very own fountain!!! Aren't you jealous????

Busy, busy, busy!!

Hello!! Brian has been in Israel since last Thursday, and I am missing him terribly. So ready for him to come home. Nathan and Mari Morgan ask every day if he is coming home tomorrow. Tonight I got to say," yes he is!! " Last week we spent the whole week with my mom and dad and the kids went to their church VBS. I helped Mom in the kitchen. It was great to see some old friends and spend that time with my family. The kids really enjoyed Bible School and made many new friends. This week, I am taking a CEU course on technology in the classroom. Wow, do I need it!! I have been LOST most of the time. Ha!! After class, the kids and I ate lunch and we went to register them for Hernando schools. I didn't quite have all I needed, so I will be getting all of that together this week. We'll try again Friday. It felt really strange registering them in Hernando, but at the same time, it felt so right. God is so good!! Tonight, we curled up on the couch and watched a movie together for the first time in a while. It was so nice. I really should make more time for that. Until tomorrow..........
