James

As some of you know, I have been trying to memorize the book of James. I took a break from it, but have now taken it back up. It is such a practical book and so applicable to where Brian and I are in life right now. Here is what I have memorized so far;

James, a bond servant of God, and of the Lord Jesus Christ; to the twelve tribes in the Dispersion, Greetings

Consider it joy my brothers when you face trials of various kinds knowing that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness, and let steadfastness have its full effect so that you may be perfect and complete lacking in nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives generously to all without reproach and it will be given to him. but, let him ask in faith with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. That man should not suppose he will receive anything from the Lord. He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation , and the rich in his humiliation. For like a flower of the grass he will pass away. The sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass, its flower falls, and its beauty perishes.

We are searching for answers right now in many areas. These remind me to ask in Faith!

  1. You can do it, Paige! I just made it through the first chapter. It took a while, so don't give up.
