Pop's Office Party

Brian's dad has an office party each Christmas for all of his employees.  For the past two years it has been held at a hunting lodge in West Point, MS.  It is gorgeous.  We were also excited to have friends come with us this time.  It was a fun weekend!

We always have a busy December. We travel to our parents' houses 4 weekends straight for family get togethers.  While a little exhausting, we always enjoy the time we have with them......

especially when we have this to cuddle on: Our cousin, Carley just had a boy name Will Harper.  Mari Morgan and I were in heaven! :) We fight over the babies!

Fun Project at Grandma's House

My mom got out all of our old ornaments from childhood and let her grandchildren decorate this little tree with them.  It was neat to see then decorating with the same ornaments that I decorated with as a child. They loved it!

Women's Christmas Fellowship

The Women's Christmas fellowship was at Kathy Gustafson's beautiful home.  Each lady brought a finger food, and a wrapped dish towel for dirty santa.  It is always a blast, especially if a lot of stealing goes on.:)

I have been struggling once again with health conditions.  I really haven't prayed for healing, but I am starting today.  Those of you who are healthy, praise Him for this and please consider praying for those who struggle in this area.

Well, I can only write on my posts as of now.  I am in the process of purchasing some photo storage for the computer.  It's boring to me without pics!  Hoping I can get back to pictures soon.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  It was a blessing to see my family!  I have the BEST family! You know, we are one of those families that are loud :), give lots of hugs, and truly love and encourage each other.  It is hard to find solid families these days.  God has truly blessed me with one of those kind.  To the Harringtons and the Hendersons;  I love you and the legacy that you have passed down to me.  To God be all the Glory! 

Roller Coaster Ride

Wow! What a ride it has been over these past few weeks.  School has been going well; however I have had to deal with a few behavior issues.  All of the students needed a little "talking to".  I think they have gotten really comfortable with one another and there personalities are all so different.  So, that it is a good lesson in itself; God makes everyone unique!  

I continue to struggle with balance.  It is a non-stop struggle with me; placing Bible Study as my top priority so I can walk in the Spirit, making sure that I speak to my husband in his "love language", parent my children in a Godly way, teach them academically, teach my students, check on my parents, pray for and uplift my friends, pray for Riverbend, reach out to the ladies of Riverbend..invest in their lives, housework , ORGANIZATION, ORGANIZATION, laundry, housework, etc...

Mari-Morgan is doing great.  In fact, I believe she is not being challenged enough.  That is something I need to work on.  Nathan loves Snowden; however it has proven to be more difficult than he or I anticipated.  He has really struggled with attention/focus and organization...hmmm,  I can't imagine where he gets that from.  We went and talked to the psychologist for 2 hours.  Nathan talked with her alone first and really opened up to her.  I was very encouraged because he really shared his fears and concerns with her.  Then, she brought us in.  We talked and shared together.  It was very eye-opening for us as we saw into "his whorl"d like we never have before.  This meeting was such a blessing for us.  We praise God for Hillary, and her suggesting that he talk with someone to get all his "stuff" out.  The counselor gave us suggestions as to how to accommodate at home and for Hillary and the other teachers to implement in the classroom. 

We have had revival services this week.  God has really shown me some areas that I need to work on.  I want to glorify Him in every aspect of my life.   Praying and seeking God is both a choice and  a necessity.  Glory to God!
